There aren’t many books that make you go on and on about them to your friends after you have read them, but this book The Wolf and the Sorceress – The King’s Magician by Brian Pemberton has definitely won a prized spot on my favourites shelf!
Don’t let the simple cover design fool you, inside, this book is an epic fantasy adventure with dragons, magic, sword fights, trolls etc. Eveything you’d expect from a excellent fantasy novel with even a touch of science fiction thrown in.
The book’s plot is so well written and had I not been asked to read it I’m not sure I would have picked this up at a book store just by the way it looks but I really cannot get over how much I love this book now and just what an amazing read it is! The book is the first in a series and with ‘Time Phantoms’ yet to be released. Anybody who really loves fantasy novels should really give this book a read.
